My conversation partner Manami showed me around the middle school she
went to, Katafuchi Middle School. Nagasaki is unique among Japan's major cities in that there
aren't any actual castles, since it was under the shogun's direct
control rather than any feudal lord. But Katafuchi is designed to
resemble a castle. I took a lot of excellent pictures.
