So, yesterday I arrived in Tokyo for my winter break. The main reason I'm here is for Comiket, a huge convention for manga and doujinshi artists. That starts tomorrow. Today, I went sightseeing and shopping in Tokyo's Akihabara district, a nerd's paradise. I bought a massive amount of manga, saw some amazing sights, and visited two maid cafes. (An essential part of the Akihabara experience)

| Final Fantasy display at an anime store |
The anime store was MUCH bigger than the one in Nagasaki.
| This is just the first floor. This same store exists in Nagasaki, but not one that takes up four floors. |
| RWBY is actually an American show, but it was released in Japan recently. |
| Chocolate Parfait at a maid cafe. Yes, it's a bear |
| Anime characters are everywhere in Akihabara |
| A huge Evangelion display |
| This convenience store had a Girls und Panzer display |
| Ruri from Nadesico |
| A small Gundam model |
| And a very big one. This is a 1:1 scale model in Odaiba, one of the area's main attractions |
| And a Gundam themed cafe right nearby |
Also visited a cat cafe. A great experience, considering how much I miss my own kitties.
| This is Kuu, a massive Maine Coon cat |
| This guy looked down on us all from atop a mountain of shelves |
An excellent day, and things have barely even started.
Living the dream my son. So proud of you and happy for you.💖
