First Day In Tokyo

So, yesterday I arrived in Tokyo for my winter break. The main reason I'm here is for Comiket, a huge convention for manga and doujinshi artists. That starts tomorrow. Today, I went sightseeing and shopping in Tokyo's Akihabara district, a nerd's paradise. I bought a massive amount of manga, saw some amazing sights, and visited two maid cafes. (An essential part of the Akihabara experience)

Final Fantasy display at an anime store

The anime store was MUCH bigger than the one in Nagasaki.
This is just the first floor. This same store exists in Nagasaki, but not one that takes up four floors.

RWBY is actually an American show, but it was released in Japan recently.
Chocolate Parfait at a maid cafe. Yes, it's a bear
Anime characters are everywhere in Akihabara
A huge Evangelion display
This convenience store had a Girls und Panzer display

Ruri from Nadesico
A small Gundam model
And a very big one. This is a 1:1 scale model in Odaiba, one of the area's main attractions

And a Gundam themed cafe right nearby
Also visited a cat cafe. A great experience, considering how much I miss my own kitties.

This is Kuu, a massive Maine Coon cat

This guy looked down on us all from atop a mountain of shelves

An excellent day, and things have barely even started.
